Congratulations on being accepted into Govinda Valley Ashram and Yoga School.
We are all so excited to meet, grow, and practice with you! As you prepare for this next phase of your studies into yourself and beyond, refer to this page which contains all that you need to familiarise yourself with Govinda Valley and what to prepare before you dive into your studies.
Student Code of Conduct PDF
This document details the expected attitudes and activities that you hold whilst enrolled at Govinda Valley. To maintain a harmonious and effective learning environment we ask all students to abide by this any transgressions are reviewed with great seriousness. Skim through this document, although we will review it in great detail upon your induction. See PDF here

Arrival Day
We're so excited to welcome you!
For arrival details such as time, date, and meeting location, please refer to your Acceptance email in the lead up to the course start date for updates.
Please text or email our Student Administrator (contacts details in your Acceptance Email) your anticipated arrival time at least 2 days before your arrival. On the day, please keep your phone handy so as to maintain communication with your Student Administrator to alert of your arrival or in case you encompass difficulties locating the campus!
If you are a new student we will ask for the following upon your arrival, please have these prepared:

2 forms of formal identification (For example, an NSW Driver's License, Passport)

Digital transfer of your Room bond (See Student Manual)

Criminal Record Check (if you have not yet already forwarded the same to our Student Administrator)
Finally, Govinda Valley can be accessed via:

Private Vehicle - please refer to you Student Manual to see where student parking is. Please avoid Guest parking spaces.

Public Transport - We are a short walk away from Otford Train station. Cross the weir and turn left!
What to Pack
Get prepared for Govinda Valley!
There’s many things you may want to pack.
Here’s a brief checklist to help kickstart your packing endeavours.
Bedding
All bedding inserts are already provided, however, we do ask that you bring your own single bedding linen

Clothing
Enough to last you 4 months! Weather varies here and can range from very hot and dry to humid, wet, and very cold with possible flooding. Please remember, clothing should be modest and you would benefit from natural breathable materials like cotton. It would be a good idea to bring comfortable clothing that you can easily move in, for example sweatpants and cargo pants. We also recommend the following (please note, this is not an exhaustive list, just some helpful suggestions):

Long socks 3 or so
