New Moon Sister Circle

Every 29 days, when the Earth, the Moon, and the Sun are positioned in a line, women all over the world come together to focus their energy on their sisters through meditation and sharing of experiences. The new moon is an integral part of the monthly moon cycle, especially for women. It symbolizes new beginnings and is an important time to reflect on past goals and to set new ones for the future.

Women rarely get the opportunity to come together and connect on a spiritual level with each other. Too many women have demanding lives and do not take the necessary time to focus on their own dreams and intentions. The new moon, coupled with the healing energy of sisterhood, is the perfect opportunity to reflect on the past and open yourself up to all the possibilities of the future.

Govinda Valley makes every effort to facilitate the spiritual growth and happiness of all guests. As most retreat attendees are women, it is important for Govinda Valley to host its own monthly New Moon women’s circle. This Thursday we had our first Sister circle and we welcomed in the new Gemini moon - queen of communication.

These circles are a chance for women of all backgrounds to refresh their spirits and begin anew. We embrace all of our strengths and weaknesses, and support each other’s spiritual journeys. It is a time to give and to receive as we form a community of connected, resilient women (and have a lot of fun doing it!)

The moon is a powerful force in our physical and spiritual lives. By tapping into its energy each month we can grow in mind, body, and spirit. Joining this gathering of powerful, amazing women will allow you to connect to the energy the new moon brings each month and bring peace and healing to your own life.

At Govinda Valley we have regularly Full moon meditations with Louise Charman, sound healer and meditation teacher. Next full moon meditation is on 5th of June. Check Full Moon meditation event for more details. Follow our FB page for next New moon sister circle.
